Undergraduate Researcher

• Key Responsibilities

  • Support personnel in general laboratory maintenance, organization, and research

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitization in compliance with BSL-2 laboratory spaces

• Required Qualifications

  • Undergraduate student at Texas A&M University with strong responsibility, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively

  • Able to commit to a minimum of 2 credit hours a semester (approximately 6 hours a week)

• Preferred Qualifications:

  • One or more years’ experience in a functional microbiology laboratory

  • Prior experience working in a BSL-2 laboratory

  • Prior experience with autoclaves

  • Prior experience with molecular techniques (i.e. qPCR, gel electrophoresis, etc.)
